These are photos from a complete rebuild of a house on the fringes of downtown Atlanta. The house was stripped of all sheetrock and cladding and new wires and electrical fixtures were added.

Uprated windows were added to the house to improve insulation and reduce moisture buildup.

EXTERIOR REBUILD

The house was stripped of all exterior cladding, allowing the builder to reinstall modern insulation and moisture barriers.

UPRATED INSULATION

The repairs were so extensive that very little of the old house remained. Beyond the framing and the house pad, the house would be sixty to seventy percent new.

Any questionable timber was replaced with new pieces and the electrical wiring was completely redone to modern specifications.

COMPLETE REBUILD

Across the road, a new apartment building was being constructed. The neighborhood was subject to a flurry of activity including several new constructions and refurbishings.
